LDN1251 Rotten Fish Nebula-Fragment
| Description |
LDN 1251 is an astronomical object also known as the Rotten Fish Nebula due to its appearance. It is a large, star-forming molecular cloud in the constellation Cepheus, located about 1,000 light-years away. The “rotten” fish appearance comes from its dusty, dark, and elongated shape, which is likely a result of interactions with the solar winds from a past supernova. |
